Girls Lacrosse

Team Info

Tampa Catholic has been playing lacrosse since 2007-2008 season and I am the 4th Head Coach of the program. Lacrosse became a sanctioned sport in 2012-13 season in Hillsborough County.

TC Girls Lacrosse has some great history and they have been very competitive throughout the years. You can see that on www.maxpreps.com.

Go to the top tab for sports and click on Girls Lacrosse and choose Florida as the State. You will find us on the list of teams if you want to check it out.

The girls team of 2011 went to the Club State Championship game vs Stoneman Douglas and lost 18-9, their only loss of the season. They went 14-1 that year, which was the last time TC Girls Lacrosse was in the State Final.

We currently have three alum playing and coaching at the next level:

• Our first Division 1 Player Taylor Matthews '21 currently plays for Howard University
• Jaeden Waschbusch '19 - currently playing for Division 2 Rockhurst University
• Jen Leahy '14 played lacrosse at Division 2 Berry College and is currently an assistant lacrosse coach for Sewanee University
